Richelle grew up in Canada. Her parents had careers in health care – her mother, a Registered Nurse and her father, a CEO of rural hospitals and long-term care facilities in Western Canada. Richelle inherited her love of business from her father, having earned two undergraduate degrees; a Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Economics and Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies, followed by a Master in Public Health degree to enhance her perspectives in a woman’s choice for place of birth. Richelle worked in clinical research until finishing her registered nursing designation in July of 2017 Vanderbilt University. From there, she moved into an MSN program with The George Washington University which also afforded her a post-graduate certificate in Nurse-Midwifery from Shenandoah University in May of 2021. Richelle has two children – one born at the hospital with a significant adverse outcome for herself following the birth, and her second born healthy and safe for both mother and baby at home with midwives. In the spirit in keeping with holistic and all-encompassing care, Richelle is currently completing a Post-Graduate Nurse Practitioner Certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health from Purdue University. Currently, Richelle only sees women from the onset of menses to beyond menopause per her scope of midwifery practice. She will be seeing clients of both genders/sexes for psychiatric mental health services in the Fall of 2022.
