Dr. Rachel founded Fox and Kit Chiropractic so that she could use her skills and passion for chiropractic to help busy women, growing teens, and active kiddos to keep going through the highs and lows of their physical health. She believes that chiropractic care is an excellent rehabilitative and healing tool, but can also be used as a preventative tool to remain injury free and capable of living up to your fullest potential. Her boutique style of practice allows for individualized care for everyone that walks in the door. Raised in Conifer Colorado, she has spent the past few years exploring the midwest in Minnesota and Wisconsin with her fiancé.
Now that they are back in the mountains, she can be found hiking on the sunny days or reading a book with a hot cup of coffee on the dreary days.
A means of analyzing the balance of the pelvic bones, muscles, and ligaments in a pregnant momma. Bringing balance back to these structures helps to increase room for baby to move and grow and decrease discomfort for momma!
Dr. Rachel utilizes soft tissue therapies such as the Hypervolt, electrical muscle stimulation, Graston Therapy, and other stretches to support the chiropractic adjustment
The purpose of the adjustment is to restore proper movement and function within the joints of the spine, shoulders, elbows, hips, knees, etc.
Taking Care of you while you take care of yourself Whether you are just getting started in your conception journey or weeks away from welcoming your new babe, getting adjusted helps to ease discomfort during pregnancy, supports quicker, less painful deliveries, and improves postpartum healing. Pregnancy causes your body to experience physical and hormonal changes, as your baby grows and develops. We focus on decreasing stress at the tailbone and hips. By removing the tension in these areas and balancing the pelvis it allows mamas to be more comfortable throughout pregnancy and allows the baby more space in the pelvis to get into position for birth. Don’t worry, we won’t forget about the neck and shoulder tension and more that comes with creating a whole human!
Preventing lifelong stress on the body
Studies have shown the birthing process in normal deliveries puts strain on the upper neck of over 90% of babies born, this can lead to nerve impingement and strain on their muscular system that can result in torticollis or difficulties feeding. It is important that infants get checked soon after birth and throughout their developmental stages such as rolling, sitting, crawling, and learning to walk. Infant and toddler adjustments are incredibly gentle, using only the pressure one would use to check the ripeness of a peach.
Dr. Rachel hopes to bring pediatric chiropractic care to as many Colorado Springs families as possible! She has received special training through the ICPA to analyze and adjust children according to their age and level of development.
